Zoey's MVD Journey
It’s been quite the journey for us all. It all first started when Zoey was diagnosed in 2016 with a heart murmur at a regular checkup only at the age of five years old. We were advised to see a veterinarian cardiologist to further look into her enlarged heart.
The cardiologist told us Zoey had Myxomatous mitral valve disease, basically (MVD). The options given were only to medicate her until it’s ultimate progression further developed eventually leading to congestive heart failure and her death in about a years time based on her current progression rate.
