Uzbekistan - My Roots

Oh Uzbekistan! So familiar, yet so foreign. At times as comforting as a warm hug, at times as frustrating as slow internet. A delicate blend of young and brand new with ancient and antiquated. I’ve always struggled to describe where I’m from — "A bit like the Middle East, kind of like Russia and Eastern Europe, a little, but not quite like Asia… well it’s an interesting place. You’ll just have to come visit for yourself!"

Uzbekistan is home to Silk Road's legendary cities where East and West met, and civilizations and cultures coalesced to give rise to the most stunning architecture, works of art, math and sciences.
