How to Make Learning a Core Part of Your Engineering Team
Of all the places I've worked, only 1 place stands out as having a truly awesome engineering culture. Core to that culture was the life long learner ethos. We had it all - book clubs, code labs, brown bags, video hours, pair programming, engineering focused all hands. Most importantly though - there was a love of learning new things shared by many members of the team.
As I became an engineering director and moved on to other companies, I discovered some of what it takes to instill those values within organizations.
