Pregnancy is truly a time of highs and lows. You’ll rarely witness such joy as when a mother describes the first time she saw her baby on an ultrasound or saw that second line on a home pregnancy test. But you’ll rarely witness such disgust when you ask that same mother to reflect on morning sickness, medical complications of pregnancy, or the dreaded glucose drink at 28 weeks.

It is the best of times. It is the worst of times. It is pregnancy.
